About the Melbourne Holocaust Museum:
The Melbourne Holocaust Museum recently re-opened in a state-of-the-art, five-storey building,combining museum exhibits, research, education, and dedicated spaces for staff and volunteers.
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Major Gifts Specialist to manage the Museum’s high-net-worth donors and elevate its fundraising efforts. This is a chance to directly impact the Museum’s meaningful initiatives and further its mission of fostering understanding and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and expand a portfolio of major donors, securing critical funding for the Museum’s programs and initiatives.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the Museum’s major gifts program.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships with donors through personalized interactions and provide regular updates on program performance and fundraising goals.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Head of Engagement & Philanthropy, and Foundation Chair to support the Museum’s strategic priorities.

- Proven experience in securing significant gifts and building strong, authentic donor relationships.
- A deep alignment with the Museum’s values of integrity, empathy, responsibility, and inclusivity.
- A passion for the Museum’s mission and a drive to make a lasting impact.
