* Secondary Science/ VCE Physics teacher – Independent faith-based school

Secondary Science/ VCE Physics – Permanent Full-Time

Small class sizes/ engaged students/ high achievers/ no weekend co curricular to attend

Are you a passionate Science/Physics teacher with VCE experience, eager to inspire and develop students in a supportive school environment? Our client, a respected faith-based conservative school, is seeking a dedicated VIT registered Teacher to join their small high school faculty.

About the Role

  • Permanent full-time position (open to part-time by negotiation).
  • Teach VCE Physics with small class sizes as well as science in years 7-10
  • Hours designed to avoid peak traffic: start around 9:30/10am, with teaching blocks through to 5:15pm.
  • Early finish on Fridays (6-hour day).

What We’re Looking For

  • Current VIT registration.
  • Proven experience teaching VCE Physics.
  • Evidence of student development and achievement.
  • Ambitious, diligent, and knowledgeable educator who takes pride in their craft.
  • Applicants do not need to come from a faith-based school background.
  • No requirement to be highly I.T. savvy – the school has a conservative approach to technology. This may particularly appeal to mature teachers who love teaching but prefer a traditional classroom environment.

Why Join?

  • Small teaching load: with full-time remuneration.
  • Supportive culture: no micromanagement – freedom to run your classes your way.
  • Excellent conditions: additional paid leave, no Saturday work or sport, and well-supported by school leadership.
  • Lifestyle benefits: different term dates to other schools – enjoy cheaper off-peak holiday travel.

This is an ongoing appointment, not a fixed-term contract, offering the chance to build a lasting impact with motivated students.
