Moriah College is an independent, co-educational Modern Orthodox Zionist Jewish school located in the Eastern suburbs of Sydney. 


About the Role:

The College is seeking a visionary Head of High School, who will be responsible for the overall leadership of aspirational High School educational and wellbeing programs.

This is a full-time position to commence in Term 3 2024, or sooner by negotiation.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience as a Head of High School | Essential 
  • Experience in an Australian Jewish Day School setting with a bilingual program | Desirable
  • Highly qualified senior educator with deep understanding of pedagogical frameworks, across High School | Essential
  • Experience in a fast-paced school with high academic standards | Essential 
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in curriculum development and implementation | Essential
  • Demonstrated capability in enhancing quality teaching and learning through sound teaching practice and pedagogy | Essential
    Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire teams across a High School setting | Essential
  • Possess appropriate teaching qualifications and experience and a thorough understanding of NESA requirements and provisions, in particular HSC standards | Essential
  • Demonstrated personal resilience, ability to influence and high levels of agility and empathy | Essential

The successful candidate will be appointed to the role irrespective of their religious beliefs. Candidates must be willing to embrace the College’s Modern Orthodox Jewish Zionist ethos.
